GAGA PIT - installed November 2014

The PTO is thrilled to have installed a GaGa Ball Pit in the Eagle's Nest!  GaGa Ball is similar to dodge ball but played in a wooden hexagon or octagon, called a GaGa Pit.  Parents Kristen Bixby and Jenn Cort, PTO Playground Committee Chair, picked out an 8-foot wooden octagon with 30-inch sides.
Thank you to the parent volunteers who helped with installation, Steve Bixby, Chris Williams, Johnathan Cort, and Bernie Holmes.  Thank you to TM Turfscapes for donating the SYNLawn, synthetic grass to line the inside.  We are also grateful to our P.E. Teacher, Linda Collins, for using a week of classes to teach the students how to play fairly and safely.
This idea was submitted to Jennifer Roberts in September by an EES parent.  Jennifer brought it to the PTO and we worked together to make it happen.  This type of collaboration is what we are all about, and we are looking forward many years of GaGa!
